Car Insurance Peugeot (Car Insurance). What's a car with good mileage for a younger person? What's a car with good mileage for a younger person? Ok, so I am getting a car when I turn 17 or 18. My parents are buying it for me. I'm a really good driver btw. My dads first car was a mustang...thats what he wants to get me, my mom likes the altima. I like both. Lol I wanted to know of a car that has good mileage. I live in Mississippi, so mileage isn't that big of a deal, but it's a plus. Lol. Any suggestion would be helpful. Mileage or gas mileage? Peugeot . How to Replace the Fuel Filter on a 2004 Chevrolet ImpalaThe 2004 Chevrolet Impala came equipped with either a 3.4- or 3.8-liter V-6 engine. Despite the two engine choices, the fuel filter location remains the same. The fuel filter is located in front of the fuel tank, under the passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle manufacturer recommends replacing the fuel filter with the original equipment AC Delco GF578 unit. Replace the fuel filter regularly, in accordance with Chevrolet's maintenance guidelines. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Fuel pressure gauge with bleeder Line wrench Rag Fuel can Small pan Step by Step : 1 Relieve the pressure from the fuel tank by loosening the gas cap. 2 Relieving fuel system pressure, method 1: Disconnect the negative battery cable from the vehicle battery. Find the Schrader valve located under the hood, on the main fuel line, by the intake manifold. The fuel system Schrader valve resembles a bicycle tire-inflation valve. 3 Remove the black dust cap and connect a fuel pressure gauge that features a bleeding function. Put the bleeder hose into a suitable gas container. Open the bleeder valve on the fuel pressure gauge to allow the residual pressurized gasoline to flow into the gas container. After draining all the residual fuel, remove the fuel gauge and replace the dust cap on the Schrader valve. 4 Relieving fuel system pressure, method 2: As an alternate method of relieving fuel system pressure, instead of using a fuel gauge to bleed the system of residual fuel, remove the fuel pump fuse, start the engine and let it idle until it dies--then disconnect the negative battery cable and replace the fuel pump fuse. 5 Clean any debris or dirt away from the fuel filter connections. Place a drain pan underneath the fuel filter to catch any fuel that will leak out during filter replacement. 6 Loosen the fuel line fitting with an appropriate sized line wrench. Drain the excess fuel from the filter and line into the drain pan. Unfasten the retaining bracket holding the filter onto the vehicle frame. 7 Disconnect the "quick-connect" fitting on the other side of the filter by squeezing the exposed tongs on the connector while pulling the filter away from the line. Set the old filter in the pan. 8 Attach the line fitting to the appropriate side of the new fuel filter and tighten with the line wrench. Push the "quick connect" fuel hose by sliding it in the other side of the filter, you will hear a snapping sound when properly connected. 9 Secure the new filter using the original mounting bracket and tighten the vehicle's gas cap. Step by Step : 10 Reconnect the negative battery cable. Turn the car's ignition switch to the on position to pressurize the fuel system (do not start the vehicle yet). Check for leaks at the fuel filter connections. Step by Step : 11 Tighten fuel filler cap. Tips & Warnings Do not smoke around gasoline. Wash hands thoroughly and promptly if accidental skin contact occurs.
Peugeot . How to Replace a Fuel Filter for a 1996 NissanThe 1996 Nissan models are equipped with electronic fuel injection. These fuel-injection systems require debris-free gasoline to operate properly. The fuel filter ensures debris is removed, preventing it from reaching the engine. The recommended replacement interval for a fuel filter is 30,000 miles or 24 months. A worn fuel filter will decrease engine performance and may result in stalling or an engine that fails to run. Fuel-filter maintenance is a vital procedure in preventative vehicle maintenance. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Floor jack Jack stands Catch tray Flat-blade screwdriver Step by Step : 1 Locate the fuel filter, which will be near the gas tank, mounted in the engine compartment or mounted to the frame rail on the passenger side of the Nissan. 2 Identify the fuel-pump fuse and remove it from the fuse panel. Allow the engine to run until it stops and will not restart to relieve the pressure in the fuel system. 3 Raise the vehicle using the floor jack if the fuel filter is under the car. Position jack stands under the vehicle and lower the floor jack to secure the car safely. 4 Position the catch tray under the fuel filter to collect any gasoline leaked from the fuel system during the fuel-filter replacement process. 5 Loosen the clamp securing the fuel line from the gas tank with a flat-blade screwdriver. Remove the hose by pulling it firmly from the fuel filter. 6 Remove the hose connecting the fuel filter to the engine by loosening the hose clamp with a screwdriver and pulling the hose away from the fuel filter. 7 Slide the fuel filter from the fuel filter bracket. This may require one or more bolts to be loosened. 8 Insert the new filter with the arrow on the filter pointing to the hose providing fuel to the engine. If required, tighten the bolt securing the filter in the bracket. 9 Attach each fuel line to the correct end of the filter and tighten the hose clamp securing each hose. Step by Step : 10 Remove the catch pan and properly dispose of any excess gasoline. Carefully raise the vehicle using the floor jack, remove the jack stands and lower the vehicle. Tips & Warnings Gasoline is flammable, and proper precautions must be exercised to avoid fire or explosion. Always inspect the fuel system for fuel leaks after work has been performed involving any fuel-system components. *On some vehicles, you may find a static shield, shown in Figure 12-20, which you have to remove before you can change your points and condenser. The static shield's purpose is to prevent radio interference. Sometimes the work ing of the electrical system in your car produces strange noises on the car radio. This gizmo prevents that. . Chapter 12: Keeping Your Electrical System in Tune Figure 12-20: The static shield. The static shield isn't hard to remove, but when you finish working on your distributor, be careful to put the shield back exactly the way it was. If you can't get it back properly, don't worry — your car will run perfectly without it, 539

Remove and replace the condenser Under the rotor (and possibly the static shield) are the points and condenser. Before you remove the condenser, look at the two little wires, one leading to the points and the other to the condenser, that join together — usually with some sort of little screw and washer arrangement (refer to Figure 12-13). Take a good look at how the wires (sometimes called leads) fit together in the gadget that holds them (called the primary terminal). The main purpose of the primary terminal is to prevent the clips at the ends of these wires from touching the floor of the distributor, which is called the breaker plate. If they touch the breaker plate, they short out and the car doesn't start. Now follow these steps: 1. Take a closer look at how the wires connect. Are the little clips at the ends of the wires touching each other? Or are they separated with something? Does the screw that holds them in place touch them? Or is there something in between? Figures 12-21, 12-22, 12-23, and 12-24 show how to disconnect several types of primary terminal arrangements. Part III: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System Figure 12-21: On some distributors, the wires must be loosened from the primary terminal, as shown, before you can remove them.
